On Friday, April 24th, from 6-9 pm at the LDS Layton Stake Center located at 1290 N. Church Street, there is a fireside with Cindy Kern as the speaker: 

Cindy Kern is a  professor of Economics at BYU; is a very engaging and inspiring presenter who is a favorite at BYU Education Week and other forums.

She has a very interesting presentation using multimedia that is sure to be appealing to all who attend. She will speak about the Declaration of Independence including 

    1. how the Declaration of Independence is a bulwark against tyranny
    2. the consequences of losing our cultural memory
    3. the role of virtue, self-interest, and religion in a republic
