Willard—The July community clean-up sponsored by the South Willard LDS Stake went very well. Dumpsters were made available, and several people throughout the community offered the use of their trailers to haul out unwanted garbage/debris. In all, two 30 square-yard dumpsters were filled.
On August 7, 2014, a church-sponsored blood drive occurred at the Willard LDS Stake Center. Mountain Star officials advised that 32 people donated a pint of blood each. With the average blood donation saving up to three lives, the blood drive was a huge success, theoretically saving the lives of nearly 100 people. With Brigham City Community Hospital and Ogden Regional Hospital as part of Mountain Star Healthcare, these blood donations will likely be used locally to save lives in this community.
