Notice of Local District Election

The North View Fire District has been divided into three election divisions as follows: (1) Harrisville City, (2) North Ogden City and (3) Pleasant View City, with two trustees to be elected from each Division and one trustee is to be elected ' at large' in a District- wide election. Three board of trustee seats will be up for election one for each Division during the local district general election on November 5, 2019. Any person interested in becoming a candidate for one of the seats on the board must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the District Clerk at the North View Fire District building located at 315 East 2550 North, North Ogden, Utah. The filing period runs from June 3, 2019 through June 7, 2019, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. To qualify as a candidate, you must meet these qualifications: be a registered voter at the location of your residence; be a resident within the District, be a resident within that the election division in which you intend to run in; not be an employee of the District; be mentally competent, and has not been convicted of a felony and has not been convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise, unless right to hold office has been restored pursuant to Utah Code Annotated S20A-2-101.5 (2011), as amended.
