Ladysmith Black Mambazo presented by Peery's Egyptian Theater

Peery's Egyptian Theater is proud to present a return visit of the international music legends Ladysmith Black Mambazo.This performance made possible with a donation from the George S and Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation.

For more than forty years, Ladysmith Black Mambazo has married the intricate rhythms and harmonies of their native South African musical traditions to the sounds and sentiments of Christian gospel music. The result is a musical and spiritual alchemy that has touched a worldwide audience representing every corner of the religious, cultural and ethnic landscape. Their musical efforts over the past four decades have garnered praise and accolade and solidified their identity as a cultural force to be reckoned with.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for students and seniors and are available at the box office at 2415 Washington Blvd, M-F 2:00pm to 6:00pm, by calling 800.888.8499, or at smithstix.com.

A highly rewarding evening’s entertainment, this hilarious farce revolves around a young man, Hickory Wood, who has to prove he is the only child of a former business associate of a rich mill owner in order to receive 10.000 pounds. Unfortunately, his efforts are thwarted and complicated by the arrival of the other claimants, creating some first class and uproariously funny situations.

The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale where worlds collide. The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, they set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences return to haunt them
