“I Can Read with My Eyes Shut!”: Lomond View’s Dr. Seuss Day

March 2nd is a big day in history!  It’s Dr. Seuss’s birthday!  It’s also when Lomond View Elementary has their reading celebration to remember this lively and creative fellow.

Librarian, Virginia Miller, who organized this much anticipated celebration chose the theme: “I Can Read with My Eyes Shut”.  Prior to this day, every grade had the opportunity to come into the library and pick a silly set of paper glasses. They colored them in and drew in their own eyes and added personality to each set of eyeballs.
