Hello Parents!

As you know, the students have been learning about mindfulness this month. We have been practicing ways of being very still and focusing only on what’s happening right now as a way to settle our thoughts and feelings.

   ***Attention all those interested in VOLLEYBALL!!!

All Eagles are invited to attend our volleyball clinic. We would love to see boys and girls interested in improving their skills and/or those wanting to learn the game attend. The clinic will be held on Monday, October 8th, Wednesday, October 10th, and Friday, October 12th in the gym from 3:00-5:00pm. Cost is $25, please pay in the office. Please pick up a permission slip in the office and return the signed form with your receipt to Coach Morse or Coach Tippets!!!

We will be doing vision screenings for all students in 1st through 6th grades on Tuesday, September 18th. If your student has prescription glasses or contacts, please make sure that they wear them so we can get an accurate assessment of their vision.

If you do not want your student's vision to be tested, please send a written note to their teacher or email the school nurse at laschaefer@wsd.net.

American Spirit Project

When the American Spirit Project offered cash awards and recognition to local youth city councils in North Ogden and Pleasant View as well as to readers of Connection Magazines, the challenge was accepted. Awards would go to whomever presented the best case for deserving Honoree recognition and included a $200 cash award. Naomi Elmer was the winner from the North Ogden YCC, and Grant Knight was the winner from the Pleasant View YCC. The honoree Award for Connection Magazine readers went to Emma Flattery, a senior at Weber High School.
