High school drill: 4A and 5A's best teams strut their stuff in state competition

Teams from Class 4A and 5A put on a show for the rest of the state in their respective state drill competitions Friday.

Fremont competes in the 5A drill team championships at Utah Valley University's UCCU in Orem on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. Fremont Drill Team in the pink and black are showstoppers, they put on a great presentation. Copper Hills won its second straight 5A overall title, placing first in military and second in both dance and character with an aliens routine. 

Box Elder competes in the 4A drill team championships at Utah Valley University's UCCU in Orem on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. Box Elder Drill Team are in the purple gave it their all in hard fought compitation. In 4A, the Bountiful Mandonelles swept all three categories, including a bug-themed character dance, and won their sixth consecutive overall state title. Clearfield placed second in 4A character with a magic-themed routine that included multiple magic wardrobe changes inside a tunnel parachute.
