Olivia Chamberlain nominated for Yearbook for March Student of the Month.  Olivia is the daughter of Martin Chamberlain and Heather Martin.

Olivia is a senior and has worked on the yearbook staff all three years during high school. Olivia has been so enthusiastic to be a member of the staff that her excitement for the class will be missed.

Olivia has numerous qualities that I would like to mention.  First of all, she is very hard working and doesn’t waste any time getting started on an assignment. This includes her being very detail oriented. She works hard to make sure that she covers all aspects of the event she is assigned.

She is very dependable, she always has it finished and ready to submit well before the deadline.  She is great at organization and time management.

Olivia has the ability to see when something extra needs to be done. She is always willing to step in and help-out other students or take on additional assignments.  She has taken pictures at sporting events, assemblies, dances, of clubs/groups, student pictures in the hallways and during lunchtime.  She has not been afraid of trying something new that puts her outside of her comfort zone.

Heidi Ashurst nominated for March Student of the Month in Counseling. Heidi is the daughter of Kevin and Vonda Ashurst.

Heidi is a junior student.  She is a dedicated student who is very responsible.  Heidi has taken the initiative to get many of her graduation credits done early!  She has even done some online classes to help her finish her required classes more quickly.   Her future interests are varied and so completing graduation credits early will help her to explore the several options she has considered for post-secondary schooling.  She is considering aviation, engineering, military, and accounting!

Heidi has faced several challenged with grace and poise.  She is always willing to go the extra mile.  She has a calm demeanor. She is easy to work with and easy to get along with.  She does not require a lot of oversight.  Heidi is not afraid to work hard; and this is why I know that she will be successful at whatever she chooses to go into.

Officer Justin Zimmerman nominated Jessica Miller in Law Enforcement.  Jessica is the daughter of Burt Miller and Kari Miller

In the Law Enforcement class, there’s a week dedicated to presentations from students. The reports are very short and just supposed to highlight what each student’s interest is within law enforcement. Some students take these fairly seriously, Jessica Miller’s report was the most inspiring that had been seen in three years.  Jessica shared experiences from her own life, which is not expected, but the class seemed to hang on her every word. Others were inspired by her story, and the class probably learned more in those three minutes then the entire trimester.
