2017-18 COURSE REQUEST INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Login to your student Portal 2. Select Scheduler (top left hand corner) 3. Select Schedule Year 2017-18 4. Request 18 courses (Follow Your 4-year Plan)  A. Find desired course from list and click Request B. Click “All” button to return to list of courses C. Repeat steps A & B until all 18 courses are selected 

     5. Log out of Portal courses are automatically saved 

 

Note: You must request 18 courses even if you plan to graduate early or have a parent release. It is highly advised that you follow your 4-year plan, otherwise you risk getting off track for graduation.

Registration 2017-2018 Category Registration Instructions Who to ask ? Audition Courses:    Cheer, Color Guard,    Concert Choir, Madrigals    Productions, Rockettes,     Stage Tech,  Stud. Gov.  You will NOT choose these classes yet. Choose 18 classes that do not include these classes.  Once auditions are complete, a list will be given to the registrar and you will be contacted for further instructions.   Cheer-Mrs. Whitaker Con. Choir/Mads- Mr. Wood Productions/Stage Tech-Mrs. Day Stud. Gov-Mrs. Garn Athletic-Try Out Courses Baseball- Tri 3 period 6 Boys Basketball-Tri 2 period 6 Swimming-Tri 2 period 1 Volleyball- Tri 1 period 6      You will NOT choose these classes yet.  Once tryouts are over, a list will be given to the registrar and you will be contacted for further instructions.  Please note the hours these classes will be taught so you can schedule something in that hour that you are willing to drop.   Baseball-Mr. Roberts Boys Bball Mr. McKee Swim-Mr. Hodgkinson Vball-Mrs. Harding Athletic NO Try Out Courses Track      Sophomore Football Varsity Football     You WILL be able to choose these classes now because no try-outs are held.  Keep in mind if you decide not to participate, you will need to change your schedule during the class change window.   Track: Mr. Rawlins or Mr. Davidson Football-Mr. Gunter Concurrent Enrollment  Additional form required You WILL be able to select these classes.  Please NOTE:  these classes require a 3.0 GPA and a $50 application fee plus an additional $5 per college credit.  These classes ARE posted on your college transcript so choose with care.    Mrs. Sparks (Librarian)  

 

Bridgerland 

 

You WILL be able to select these classes.   LOGAN:  Please note the Bridgerland bus to Logan  leaves at 7:20am for the morning session and returns at 11:20am.  The afternoon session bus leaves at 11:45am and returns to school at 3:20.  You are responsible to get yourself to school and/or home from school at these times.  BRIGHAM CITY BATC: Brigham City Bridgerland classes require you to have your own transportation.

Internships-seniors only  

 

A one week class at BEHS is required before you start your internship.   

You WILL be able to select these classes.  Please note that a 3.0 GPA and a good attendance history are required for internships.  Your own transportation to your internship site is also required.  You need to register for TWO classes for an internship:  CTE Internships #40390 AND Workplace Skills/CTE Internship #40391

Parent Release-seniors only/ 1st and 6th hour only  Additional form required 

You will NOT choose these classes yet.  Choose other classes and turn in required form during schedule creation.  Make sure to put a class you feel you can drop in this slot so you can easily replace it. Once your form is received and approved, you will be placed in this class.

Early Grad Additional form required  

 

You will NOT choose these classes yet.  Build your schedule so that your required classes are taken care of and you have electives the trimester you want to early grad.  Once your requirements have been completed, meet with your counselor to complete your early grad paperwork.
