"Remain Loyal to Jehovah" Regional Convention.

Friday, June 24, 2016 - 10:37am to Sunday, June 26, 2016 - 10:37am

SALT LAKE CITY, UT—Jehovah’s Witnesses are inviting the public to attend their 2016 “Remain Loyal to Jehovah!” Regional Convention. Beginning on Friday, June 24, the Witnesses will be hosting this free event in Ogden, Utah at the Dee Event Center - 4444 Event Center Drive, Ogden, UT.

The three-day program will feature 49 presentations, each exploring the theme “loyalty.” Additionally, the Witnesses have prepared 35 video segments specifically for the program plus two short films that will be shown on Saturday and Sunday. Each day, the morning and afternoon sessions will be introduced by music videos recorded for the convention.

As they have in years past, the Witnesses will distribute a special invitation to the public welcoming them to attend the program. The dates and locations for other conventions around the world can be found on the Witnesses’ official website, jw.org.

David A. Semonian, a spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses at their world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, states: “We strongly believe that loyalty is an essential part of any healthy relationship. Our convention this year features content that will help people develop stronger bonds with friends, family members and, above all, with God. We are confident that all who attend will enjoy this program.”

PRESS RELEASE
The Heritage Community Theatre proudly announces the timeless family classic, “Flddler On
The Roof.” It will be performed June 3 through 25. “Fiddler” is one of the longest running
productions on Broadway because of its humanistic themes, its warm and humerous script, and
its memorable musical score.
Tevye, a poor milkman and humble Jewish father, finds his devotion to God tested by his
headstrong daughters, who want to be their own matchmakers, while the growing anti-semitism
of Czarist Russia threatens the world he knows so well. “Fiddler OnThe Roof” celebrates family,
community, and life’s unexpected miracles.
Director Marilyn Whipple, of Centerville, who is making her Heritage Theatre debut as director
states, “I jumped at the chance to direct “Fiddler.” It is one of the “perfectly written shows.” It is
full of universal themes, a romantic storyline, the complexity of family and community
relationships, and political persecution and turmoil. Its most amazing thread, though, is that it
forces the audience to look at human differences. Add to that a strong story, an unforgettable
musical score, and it becomes an experience that can change your life.”
Director Whipple adds, “This show, for as long as it has been around, brings out talented
performers. We have an unusually talented cast, many of whom are local, and many who travel
to have the opportunity to be a part of this show again. Theatre goers will recognize the name,
Layne Willden, giving a fine repeat performance as Tevye, Marcia Holmes, playing Golde, and
Allisha Larsen, who plays Yente. Many favorite local performers help fill out the cast. She
adds, “This show carries with it a magical quality, enhanced by a super talented cast. It is one
you will not want to miss.”
Fiddler on the Roofwill open June 3 and play Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays through June 25
at 7:30 p.m., with matinees on June 11 and 18 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for
seniors and children 12 and under. The Heritage Theater is located at 2505 South Hwy 89 in
Perry. Tickets may be obtained online at www.heritagetheatreutah.com, by phone at 435-723-
8392, or at the box office Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays between the hours of
11:00 and 2:00 p.m. The box office also opens on show nights at 7:00 p.m.
