Rep. Bishop Announces 2015 High School Education Conference

 

WASHINGTON – Rep. Rob Bishop will welcome more than 180 students to the Utah State Capitol Building to participate in his 11th annual High School Education Conference. Students will be travelling to the Conference from high schools all across Utah’s 1st congressional district. Participants will experience presentations on the executive and legislative branches of the federal government, the effects of lobbying, history, and the election process. Rep. Bishop shared the following statement:    

 

“For nearly three decades, I was a public school teacher in Utah. I still consider myself an educator and this conference grants a forum for the exchange of ideas. The Education Conference provides students with an opportunity to expand on their current studies, and supplement the important lessons they learn in the classroom.”
