Governor to report to State School Board on expert review of education standards
What:
Gov. Gary R. Herbert will make brief remarks before the Standards Review Panel releases its report of the Utah State Core Standards in mathematics and English language arts. Additionally, the attorney general will present his legal review of the adoption of these standards.
Gov. Herbert announced the Standards Review Panel in a press conference on July 17, 2014. The panel, co-chaired by Dr. Richard Kendell and Utah Valley University Pres. Matthew Holland began meeting in October, 2014.
