I hope you are having a great summer, and having time to spend with family. The start of the school year will be here before we know it. Just a reminder of a few things:

Keep reading (We would love all of our students to receive the Superintendent's reading certificate (1,000 pages or 10 books). The file is attached to this email ifyou need a new copy to track your reading. 

We have a new Miss North Ogden, Rachel Alder! Her platform is “Choose Your Own Statistic: Taking a Look at the Positive Numbers,” which involves her advocacy for Utah Foster Care. There was a bit of a problem with a few people at the parade, to have people saying & yelling degrading comments and racial slurs at her during the parade. This was a shame that this happened.  This was a behavior that was unbecoming to our great City.

Yesterday Elections have narrowed down the people that are running for offices. With a few the election decided who would be in a few offices.

Box Elder County had two seats up for reelection for the county commissioner seats, Jeff Hadfield and Jeff Scott will retain their seats for another four years.

Representative Lee Perry had the following to say, “Congrats to Commissioners Hadfield and Scott to 4 more years. You guys are great. Jeff Hadfield and Jeff Scott”.
