The resonance of the first North Ogden City Council (NOCC) meeting of the new-year, with 3 new Council Members (CM) was noticeably cohesive. In closing comments, the most senior CM, Wade Bigler, stated the “incoming Council Members are friends of mine with integrity, sharp intellects, and I am thrilled to be working with them.” Wade continued “We’re united in moving forward in a positive manner!” It was evident all night long.

North Ogden City Council Dec. 22, 2009

Following the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer, Dave Norquist, Community Services Director, reported that there are 5 trails open and the sleigh riding hills have lights- all courtesy of a RAMP grant. He's submitting additional requests for future grants to avoid tapping into city funds. The swimming pool generated 308K in 2008 and in 322K in 2009, for a 4½ percent increase over the 2008 season, and with a total sell-out of nightly rentals.

Weber County has held several meetings and 3 public hearings to consider its 2010 budget. The budget plan as of December 1st, 2009 was for approximately 55 million dollars. The budget is essentially planned to remain the same as for 2009.
