BLANDING, UT—Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Gov. Gary Herbert, and Rep. Rob Bishop (UT-01) issued the following statement after today’s Energy and Natural Resources field hearing on the potential Bears Ears monument designation:

Governor appoints judge to 4th District Juvenile Court

SALT LAKE CITY (July 27, 2016) – Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed Douglas Nielsen as a judge on the 4th District Juvenile Court.

“Judge Nielsen has a sincere desire to serve the people of the State of Utah,” Gov. Herbert said. “His intelligence, thoughtfulness and familiarity with the law will serve him well as he works to fulfill the demands of this new position.”
