NO VETO OVERIDE SESSION IN 2015

SALT LAKE CITY –  Today, Utah legislative leaders announced that they will not convene a veto override session in 2015.  Speaker of the House Greg Hughes and  Senate President Wayne Niederhauser issued the following joint statement:

SALT LAKE CITY (April 17, 2015) – Utah’s economy continues on a rapid course of expansion, posting strong numbers for March. New figures released today show total job growth of 4.0 percent while private-sector job growth is 4.8 percent.

Lee Questions Witness At Hearing On Asset Forfeiture

WASHINGTON—On Wednesday, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) participated in a Senate Judiciary hearing titled “The Need to Reform Asset Forfeiture.”  The hearing provided an opportunity to discuss the problems with Civil Asset Forfeiture and consider reforms to these laws.
