 Michael Murtha—He was appointed to Harrisville’s City Council in May of this year.  His wife, Vivienne, and he have been Harrisville residents since 2013.  Since his appointment he has been asked by many why he wanted to run for this office and what he hoped to accomplish over the next four years.

Harrisville Stake–On July 2, the Harrisville Stake youth with plenty of Ma’s and Pa’s were on their way on a trip of a lifetime. To see what their ancestors experienced with handcarts for the next few days, they traveled and pulled the hand carts across the trails.              

Jon Hansen, back July 3, said, “What better way to finish off a day of pulling your handcart than a little square dancing!”

Harrisville—The Highway 89 construction problem was addressed at a meeting with Mayor Bruce Richins, Council Member Michelle Tait, several Harrisville staff members and  Kris Peterson, the Director of UDOT Region 1, along with several of his staff. Several officials from the Charter School on the corner of Highway 89 and Wall Avenue were also present along with the North View Fire Chief.
