FAIRE COMING TO SOUTH TOWNE EXPOSITION CENTER

Portland, OR—Gem Faire, America's Premier Jewelry & Bead Show, will be in Salt Lake City Sep. 26-28, 2014 at South Towne Exposition Center/Exhibit Hall 5.  Hours are Fri. 10am-6pm, Sat. 10am-6pm, and Sun. 10am-5pm.  Admission is $7, valid for the entire weekend. Free parking!

Mountain Top Brunch

 

The Mountain Top Brunch has been reinvented this summer and will be better than ever! Brunch is in Needles Lodge at the top of Needles Gondola every Sunday from June 22nd – October 5th from 10 am – 2:30 pm. Each week, the chefs pick out the freshest local ingredients to create inspired and inventive dishes, delivering a new experience every Sunday.

 

The Mountain Top Brunch price is $38 for adults and $18 for youth (ages 6-11), which includes the all you can eat brunch, gondola ride, tax, gratuity and non-alcoholic beverages. For summer pass holders, the price is just $33 for adults and $15 for youth (6-11). Ages 5 and under are free.

 

Have a whole day packed with fun at Snowbasin Resort staring with Mountain Top Brunch, an exciting scenic gondola ride, enjoying one of the many activities available in the fresh alpine air, and a free outdoor concert to end the great day.

Historic Church Tour: Downtown Ogden

 

The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church historic sanctuary was built in 1874 and is said to be the oldest building in continuous use in Ogden. It is located downtown, and the original building is listed on the National Register of historic places. To celebrate the 140th anniversary, the church is open for tours on September 6. 30 minute tours of the historic building for the public starting at 11am, 11:30am, 12:00pm and 12:30pm in the courtyard by the Grant Avenue entrance. Tours are free of charge and do not require an advance reservation.

Utah Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum First Friday Art Stroll

 

Max R. Godfrey of Riverside, Utah, a rawhide braider and cowboy poet, will be demonstrating rawhide braiding at the museum on September 5. He has been braiding since 5 years of age, and has taught others the skill in his spare time, conducting braiding glasses for over ten years. He is a long time supporter of events that promote the preservation of western fork art traditions.
