Hold on to your turbans! This adaptation of the timeless Arabian tale will lift your spirits as you soar like a flying carpet to zany heights of hilarity. In this play script you will meet the lovable urchin, Aladdin, his goofy friends Jammal the Camel and Baggy the Monkey, and an empire full of adventurous treachery as the wacky villain Zoltan leads a laughable search for the Golden Lamp.

Cheering for and with Fremont’s Angel

At first glance, Fremont’s cheerleaders look like any other squad out there. They practice flips, make sure their make-up is perfect and cheer at all the athletic events. But there’s something different about them this year that sets them apart from previous groups, something that makes Coach Jill Schofield say, “In all of my years of coaching (18 years), I can honestly say that this is going to be the most memorable.” What could make that much difference? What could possibly change the way these girls not only cheer, but also affect how they live their lives?

Drama Students Ready to Tackle “The Crucible”

Fremont’s drama class will be performing the Pulitzer Prize winning play The Crucible by Arthur Miller in April. The cast will include 30 performers as well as 15 student technicians. The play centers on the Salem Witch Trials and the fear and paranoia that was associated with the trials. Mrs. Aubrey Obray, who teaches the class, says The Crucible is one of her favorite plays because, “it is beautifully written and I love the depth of character and the journey that this whole community takes together.

               Over at Fremont High, there’s a lot of celebrating going on. One reason is because the drill team is having an exceptionally great year. The team is made up of 27 girls who have been participating in different events throughout the year.

Girls Basketball National Tourney

Fremont's Girls Basketball team is headed to New York City, one of four teams in the whole nation invited to play in the Dick's Sporting Goods High School National Tournament.  It will take place April 3-5 in NYC, and the events will be televised by ESPN networks.
