Farr West

Farr West - Spotlight - Farr West Urgent Care

For a parent with a sick child the weekend is something to dread. What if the fever spikes? What if it’s strep? What if I really need to see a Dr.? Until now your choice was pretty much too either try to postpone until Monday or make the expensive trip to the Emergency (Yikes and UGH!!). A new urgent care center in Farr West now takes the worry out of the weekend (the building is beautiful and the staff is friendly!!). Kristie A. Palfreyman now provides urgent medical care Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm (amazing right?) and if that isn’t enough they are also open Sunday from 10-4pm.

Kennedy’s Hugs: A Lifetime of Love

Plain City - Back in February, I went out to Fremont High School in Plain City to watch the cheerleaders’ practice. While that may not seem all that interesting, my visit completely changed when I met a cheerleader named Kennedy Hansen. After the practice ended, I became a recipient of one of Kennedy’s famous hugs. The love I felt from that hug was simple yet so pure. It was evident from this experience that Kennedy was no ordinary 16 year old; she was an angel, an angel sent down from Heaven to share a message of love with everyone she met.

Staying Ahead of the Competition

Weber County - Over the past two years, Weber State University’s athletic program has shown the country just how amazing their athletes are with wins in the Big Sky Tournament for sports, such as men’s basketball, women’s soccer, cross country, and others. So what’s helping these athletes reach their potential and stay ahead of the competition? Part of it has to do with their new training facility located at Marquardt Field House, inside the Weber County Sports Complex next to the Dee Events Center.
