BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Apple Creek bulk Foods

Apple Creek Bulk Food Company at 875 N. Main, Highway 89 in Willard is owned by Greg and Rachelle Arlint.  Their small business is unique in that it specializes in Amish goods.  A walk around the store is a treat as you will find such things as Amish made rockers, quilts, bulk foods, seasonings, candy, canned foods and a deli that serves meats, cheeses, ice cream and sandwiches.   There are many other items of interest and you will find value in the visit to this great little store.

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Etched In Stone

Etched In Stone is great small business at 138 W. 12th Street in Ogden, owned by Wallis Burnside. This small business specializes in etched by hand artwork on cemetery markers, monuments, relief sculptures and stone signs.  Some of the other items provided by this unique company are bronze plaques and specialty urns.  Wallis takes the time to work with his customers to ensure that they get what they have envisioned for their loved ones, homes and businesses.

Thanks to Latinos in Action, Fremont students have the opportunity to read with elementary students from West Weber on a weekly basis.  They are reaching out to the community and are empowering themselves in the process.

Already this year, a handful of fires that were initially ignited by individuals wanting to clear dead grass or dispose of organic waste have escaped control when they were not being tended and flared up or when unexpected winds carried embers into dry grass.

Farr West Hometown News

Farr West and Pleasant View have had a joint traffic study being done along the 2700 North corridor, including the traffic animations based on a variety of changes to help with managing the currant traffic and the expected increase of traffic. The 2700 North corridor has many challenges now and in the foreseeable future. With the corridor having a number of businesses’ along it now, expansion of more businesses’, freeway on and off ramps and the expansion of the frontrunner to the north, there is a great cause for concern for the future.
