Parents in Harrisville will have one more schooling option for their children in 2015. GreenWood Charter School had their groundbreaking ceremony on February14, 2015. Enthusiastic parents and teachers gathered for fun and friendship. Activities included making bird feeders and 2 liter seed greenhouses.  GreenWood touts the honor of being the first holistic school in the state of Utah. “GreenWood, the first school in Utah to focus on a holistic education, is a free public charter school serving grades K-6.

Spring is coming soon and Harrisville City would like to remind residents about the Spring Clean-Up Days that will be held on April 20-24. According to the City newsletter, “Specific waste containers for regular garbage debris and green waste will be available at the Harrisville Main Park, 1350 N. Highway 89, during the Spring Clean Up for disposal.” Along with the clean-up days, trees and branches or other vegetation that obstructs any sidewalks, waterways, etc. should be trimmed or removed.”

Harrisville—At North Valley Bible Church, the mission is to glorify God through evangelism and discipleship. Jaramie Fellows leads the youth in fun-filled activities on Friday nights, following up the activities with Bible study of 1 John. The kids are having fun, fellowship, and study of God’s Word. We invite all to come and join in the fun. We have weekly studies for all of the ladies through “Knowing Jesus, Knowing Joy--a study of Philippians” by Melanie Newton. Debby Fellows has been doing this on Saturday mornings.
