Weber High Wrestling

Weber High Wrestling

Coach Jonathan Giatras has been coaching wrestling for 16 years and will be putting that experience to good use this year at Weber High School, especially when 20 percent of his team are first-time wrestlers. But don’t let that throw you off; Coach Giatras has already seen a lot of progress with his young team. “During our first competition this season in Evanston, we had 5 wrestlers make it to the finals to wrestle for 1st or 2nd. Only one of the five had ever wrestled in the championship round of a tournament before.”

Bringing a Little Disney Magic to Utah

Imagine walking through a barn that has been transformed into the bedroom of Andy from the movie Toy Story or feeling like you’re under the sea visiting Ariel and her friends from The Little Mermaid. How about being at a parade and seeing a float in the shape of a castle filled with all your favorite Disney characters, such as Cinderella, Snow White, Captain Jack Sparrow, the Mad Hatter, Captain Hook and Cruella De Vil?

HARRISVILLE CITY GENERAL ELECTIONS NOVEMBER 5th • Polls open 7am-8pm • 363 West Independence Boulevard. There is one open mayoral seat and two open City council seats for election this year.   The candidates for mayor are Bruce N. Richins and Chad R. Allen.   The candidates for City council are Bill Smith, Gary L. Robinson, Jeffery H. Pearce, and Jennifer Jensen.

Jennifer L. Jensen for Harrisville City Council

The reason Jennifer Jensen decided to run for City Council is because she feels that Harrisville recreation has gone very far downhill. She affirms, “Last year, Harrisville’s recreation department could not even get enough participation for a few of the grades in baseball and softball. We have two schools full of children, one of them is dubbed "The biggest in Weber County," and most of them want to play for Harrisville.

Jeffery H. Pearce for Harrisville City Council
