Wade C. Bigler feels “it’s been an honor to serve… as councilman… and will never forget… I am not your boss...  I work for you!”  He intends to be a mayor “who will listen to you, help you with your concerns and will work for you. Residents will be kept informed.”

Lynn Satterthwaite feels he has “a job to finish that began with the plans for the Public Works Facility.”  He added that “it looked out of place for a City this size to build a 10 million dollar facility.”  In fact, he led the successful charge to put the “Bond Question” on the ballot to give NOC citizens the opportunity to vote on the 10 million dollar bond obligation that was proposed by the former City council.  He noted that, “It became the deciding factor in the last election and here we are at the next one and it’s still not built.” 

Phillip Swanson is running for office because he is “saddened by the unnecessary level of discord, disrespect, and discourtesy that has become too pervasive… North Ogden deserves better.”  He has researched the issues by attending many meetings and has concluded “my views on what North Ogden needs comes from having taken personal time – hundreds of hours – as a citizen to be actively involved.”

James D. Urry jokingly responded that he “was running for the money” when asked why.  This was in reference to the minimal compensation city council members receive for their voluminous time spent on behalf of the citizenry.  More seriously, he responded that “I can’t crab about it if I don’t’ get involved.”  Mr. Urry has resided in North Ogden City (NOC) for over 40 years and served on previous City councils under former Mayors Don Colvin and Bruce Dursteller.
