Senator Hatch Statement on the President’s Veto of the Keystone Jobs and Infrastructure Bill

Senator Hatch Statement on the President’s Veto of the Keystone Jobs and Infrastructure Bill

Washington D.C.— Senator Orrin G. Hatch, President Pro Tempore of the United States Senate, issued the following statement following the President’s veto of the Keystone XL Pipeline.

What Obama just did

President Obama just DEFIED Congress and REJECTED the best interest of America by vetoing the Keystone Pipeline Bill.

This veto is a slap in face to the American people -- and it won't be Obama's last.

Liberals argue that this veto means conservatives should "compromise" -- which is DC- speak for preemptive surrender to Obama's radical tax-and-spend agenda.

We must act NOW to reject Obama's threats and executive action in the name of "compromise."
