Jimmy Jones Golf Classic Fundraiser
Jimmy was in a rollover truck accident when he was 17, which has
left him paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Jimmy never gave up hope
for an awesome life. He has completed a college education, works
for a living, and enjoys life to the fullest. Jimmy has been a positive
influence on everyone he is around. Rain or shine, he gets up and
goes to work. He is never heard to say “Why Me?” or complain
about his life. Jimmy’s mobility is dependent on a custom motorized
wheelchair and modified vehicle. He has limited movement in his
hands and is required to be in his chair at all times. Jimmy’s
current van has been used for many years with daily trips to work
from Tremonton to Ogden. The van is worn out, on its last leg, and
it’s time for a new vehicle! Along with a new vehicle with many
custom modifications, a new motorized customized wheelchair is
required. As you can imagine it is very costly to replace the van
and wheelchair. All proceeds and monies donated will go
towards Jimmy getting a new truck that will be fitted to his

Birdhouse Exhibit at Ogden Nature Center
The Ogden Nature Center presents FOR THE BIRDS...an outdoor exhibit of handcrafted and whimsical birdhouses and birdfeeders. The Exhibit runs April 12 through August 30, 2014 and is open 9-5 Monday through Friday and 9-4 on Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Members are FREE.

Invasive Species Pull-a-Thon!
Form a team and join this friendly competition while making a positive impact on the environment by digging invasive weeds! Recruit friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your pulling efforts. Half of the proceeds will go to your group's cause while the other half will go towards the Ogden Nature Center's habitat restoration efforts to fund invasive species prevention, education, management and control. Join the fun, compete for prizes, and help us protect the natural ecosystems at the ONC for everyone to enjoy! This is a great event for sport teams, scout troops, community groups, businesses and clubs!

Whitespace Contemporary is pleased to announce Ogden’s First -Ever Guerrilla Truck Art Fair ! The event (#OgdenGTF) serves as a platform for creatives of all types to showcase their work in a temporary gallery space within the back of a truck.
We are excited to present the best of the best Ogden and beyond has to offer in art and design!
More than 20 local independent artists will exercise their creativity, and produce an arts event like no other.

Outdoor Living: Gardens for Pleasure not Work
Instructors, Susan Young and Pat Young will explore outdoor living concepts including Feng Shui fundamentals, container gardening, and working with xeric (water wise) planting at a workshop on Saturday mornings 10 to 11:30 a.m. June 14 through July 12, 2014 (class will not be held on July 5th) at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden.
