Just a couple of reminders for this week:

There will be an EARLY OUT this Friday, November 10th at all elementary schools for teacher training. School will be out at 1:05. 

We are still collecting food and coats until Monday, November 13th.

With the elections for North Ogden City Council is coming fast Lynn Satterthwaite had a few questions for the candidates. The Candidates responded with some great answers, with answers on hand the thought was maybe others wanted to know what the candidates’ thoughts were. Thanks for sharing Lynn Satterthwaite!

The first question is please discuss the value you attach to the following places and events in North Ogden: North Shore Aquatic Center, City Parks, Cherry Days, Caulk Art Festival, AYSO, N.O. Limits Half Marathon, and Sr. Citizens Center.

Construction Update: Beans & Brews Coffee House
Next to Smith's Marketplace Fuel Express

Construction of the Bean's & Brews building is moving quickly, and will hopefully be done about mid-December. It is just south of the Smith's fuel pumps and north of Weber State Credit Union, on the east side of Washington Blvd. Another great business coming soon to our city!

Smith's has recently redone their Earn and Learn Donation Program.  If you were previously signed up, you will need to re-register in order for Bates to be your charity of choice.  Smith's donations are used to provide additional classroom aide support and supplies throughout the school. We previously had over 500 families registered with Smith's and we are now down to 30, so we really need your help with this.

This is just a reminder that all student absences need to be called in each morning by 8:30am.  If you keep your student home or if they will be tardy past 8:45am for any reason, please call the office at 801-452-4580. If you call and reach voicemail, please leave us a message with your student's name and the reason for the absence or tardy.

Four Scouts Complete Projects in City Parks

We had a great week as four Boy Scouts completed projects for their Eagle Awards in our parks! Thank you Scouts and everyone who serves in our parks. Volunteers in our parks help beautify and keep taxes down. Details on each project:

Bates Annual Food and Coat Drive

Bates Elementary is joining Besst Realty to help collect food, coats and gloves for local families in need. Please send nonperishable food items and gently used coats and gloves to school November 1st-13th.  All coats must be washed before donating.
