Next week, January 22nd- 26th, our school will be taking part in "The Great Kindness Challenge" by having a kindness week at Bates. Kindness week will be full of fun activities and opportunities for students to show kindness, empathy and compassion to others.

On Tuesday night, January 16th, 2018 North Ogden Mayor, Brent Taylor, held an open house to bid farewell to his fellow residents of North Ogden as well as many others who chose to come.  There were several who attended and stood in line to exchange hugs and well wishes for Taylor and his family. Mayor Taylor’s wife, Jennie and their children were also there.

Yesterday we sent home Kindergarten preregistration papers with every student.  If you have a child who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall, please fill one out and return it to the office as soon as possible.  If you did not find one in your child's backpack, a form has been attached to this e-mail.

Please feel free to forward this e-mail/attachment to anyone you know who may have a student who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall but does not have a student who would have brought a form home.

Residents of North Ogden received a big announcement on Monday, January 8, 2018, from Mayor Brent Taylor: “Serving as the mayor of North Ogden City has been one of the greatest honors of my life and the highlight of my civilian professional career.  Service is really what leadership is all about. I am announcing today that I will be deploying to Afghanistan to continue my service as a member of the Army National Guard.”

Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday, January 12th or Monday, January 15th.
