Perry Business Spotlight - Starstruck Dance & Performing Arts

Starstruck Dance & Performing Arts is located at 2895 S Highway 89 Perry, Utah. This all in one dance studio provides dance, cheer, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, boys’ hip-hop, tumbling, combo, contemporary, Dancercise, Yoga & Zumba; and including Broadway Kids Musical Theater, with training for children 2nd grade –7th.

Perry Religious Happenings

Perry—With winter fading off, there has been several winter activities with the Young Women and Young Men at the Perry 3rd Ward.  Back on January the 27th, they all went for a winter fun night of ice skating. They had a great time learning to skate with family and friends. The Young Men held their Duty to God orientation on February 3 with their parents in attendance.

Perry Hometown News

Perry – The Three Mile Creek Gun Range is closed to the public unless there is a City- approved Range official on-site regulating the range use and the red range flag is flying. The range is not due to open until April or May. More information will be available when the date gets closer.

Perry City - updates

Perry - The Perry Youth City Council has been out volunteering with the annual “Shop With a Cop” that took place on December 13th.  After the shopping, the real fun began with the youth mastering their gift-wrapping skills. The youth got into the spirt of the holidays with simple expressions of thanks and simple gifts.

Perry Mid-Singles had a Christmas Dinner December 11th. The main course was provided with party-goers bringing sides and salads. After the dinner, they put together some goodie bags to take out and leave on other’s porches. The children ran them to the door as the adults watched.

Perry--After hearing rumors of wonderful new farm supply with great animal feed prices I simply had to stop in and check out TSC Tractor Supply Store in Perry. When I stepped in the doors I was greeted by friendly faces and surrounded by an amazing assortment of country clothes, unique candies, toys and of course everything you could want for your farm or ranch. Stephanie Carlisle, the store manager, expressed that not only do they want to take care of the farmers and ranchers needs, but they are there to become root and branches in the community.

Northern Utah--Thanks to big government, the days of “chestnuts roasting on an open fire” will soon be a thing of the past or levied a large fine.  The Division of Air Quality in Utah is seeking to strip away the freedom of choice in Utah.  Utah is about to institute a mandatory no burn action when they feel the pollution is building up to unhealthy levels during winter inversions. The regulations would cover nearly every county in Northern Utah including Box Elder County and Weber County.

Second Parent Member of Utah SAGE Test Review Committee Speaks Out

In 2013 the Utah Legislature mandated parental review of SAGE test questions and established what is now called the SAGE Parent Review Committee. It was a response to concerns that the computer adaptive tests could include biases or agendas that are objectionable to Utah family values.
