UTOPIA—Brigham City Struggles for Solutions

BRIGHAM CITY—The problems that have come with UTOPIA continue to cause worry and questions for residents of Brigham City. Mayor Tyler Vincent, along with the mayors of several other UTOPIA cities has proposed putting the deal with Macqaurie on the ballot and letting the voters decide. However, state law states there is not enough time to do this.

Brigham City Bible Church

BRIGHAM CITY—Brigham City Bible Church offers Wednesday evening classes during their Covenant Connections Program.  Last year, they had a wide variety of speakers from classes on the Constitution and freedom, spiritual speakers and one night they featured and spoke about artwork that glorifies God. Pastor Brett Revlett said all our welcome.  He stated that one of the goals of the Wednesday night meeting is to fellowship the youth. He said that a subculture is being created where youth are not feeling connected to others in the church because of generational barriers.

Brigham City Council Honors Firefighter and Starts New Safety Program

BRIGHAM CITY—August 21st, 2014, during the Brigham City council meeting, Good Samaritan and firefighter, Tyler Petersen, was honored for his good deeds. He generously donated his money to care for animals that were rescued from the scene of an accident. Private citizens banded together to raise $1,070 to help reimburse him.

There was Magic in the Air at Box Elder County Fair

BRIGHAM CITY/BOX ELDER COUNTY—While summer winds to a close, residents of Box Elder County enjoy the festivities of the Box Elder County Fair. It kicked off on August 19th with a rousing concert by Ty Herndon and Due West and moving on to parades, animals, rodeo and entertainment. There was something for the whole family. The Box Elder fair is a great family friendly event, especially since there is no charge for admission. Check out our online edition to see updates on the fair and all of its events.

Perry Home Town News

The Three Mile Creek sport park hosted a range day on June 13th where a fee could be paid to field test guns and optics. The guns ranged from 1911 pistols, short and long range rifles, different kinds of Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 rifles, Browning Lever Action 22s, and a Ruger 10/22 rifle with the opportunity to use Tru Glo Optics. YSA Multi-Stake Summer Conference

Perry - YSA Multi-Stake Summer Conference was themed: “Hastening the Lord’s Game Plan.” All about finding answers and following promptings, the conference started off on June 6th with an YSA beach party dance at the Box Elder Stake Center.
