Perry Religious Updates

Perry—The local LDS Singles Ward reserved 20 tickets for the singles to go see the new movie “16 Stones” shown at Walker Cinema on Friday, October 19th. This movie has made a huge splash with the community. The film is set in the1830’s Missouri where one young man has been forced to witness first-hand the ramifications and destruction caused by a mob attack on Latter-day Saints in Farr West.

Perry City - updates

Perry - The I-15/1100 South interchange reconstruction project was officially completed and opened on September 16th. The diverging diamond on/off ramp allows traffic to move more freely at what was a difficult intersection at times when traffic flows increased. The project was finished a month early at a total cost of $14 million. The new interchange is designed to give drivers no more than approximately one minute of wait time before the light cycles.

Election 2014 Ballot Initiatives

Elections in Utah are unique in that voters often get the chance to decide policy change by voting on initiatives and referendums during election years. Sometimes these changes result in State Constitutional amendments and this year is no exception. On November 4, voters will decide the fate of three proposed amendments that were passed during the 2014 Legislative Session by a two-thirds majority. Here is a quick rundown of the initiatives.
