You see them everywhere, all the time, in supermarket parking lots, auto dealerships, malls, hotel frontage ...the American flag, old glory ...SUPER-SIZED! ...like some fast food ploy to sell more cheeseburgers. 

To my mind, and my mind’s eye, the American flag should not be displayed as an advertisement or an advertising agent for a business.  It just seems wrong.  Common sense should indicate that it seems wrong.  It’s crass, crude, and credulous.

With a style and talk show format similar to ‘Good Morning America’ written into an episode-based documentary series outlining President Trump’s first term in office, ‘Goodbye America‘ is my opinion commentary overview humorously (but not really) based on the President’s midterm performance and the demons & democrats he faces.

Dear Editor:                                           A Dehumanized America

Vice President Pence’s recent visit to honor Jewish Holocaust victims at Auschwitz reminded me about America’s still ongoing inhumanity and disrespect for human life.  

We are shocked about how Nazi Germany, under Hitler, became so inhumane that they murdered millions of God’s elect-Jewish people, trying to exterminate them.  They displayed total disregard for human life in this horrific crime against God and humanity.

It’s not as familiar an idiom as ‘your cross to bear’ which refers to Christ being made to carry his own cross to his crucifixion, but it basically means the same thing ...to have a  responsibility or a difficult situation that you must tolerate.

Appeal concerns

Mr. Gheric Boyce of The American Legion called and left me a message stating that he would be giving me a call roughly 7 days before my March 5th WPB FL Hearing.  I appreciate your sincere involvement in this extremely important Veterans Psychiatric Suicide Case which I will be providing a thorough airing about.

Liberty Valance terrorized Shinbone.  He was a lawless bully boy who though the could get away with anything. 

The classic western film to which I am referring is ‘The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance’  starring John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin and a supporting cast of Hollywood’s most famous character actors. 

It doesn’t roll off the tongue like ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ but I’m willing to sacrifice alliteration to make a point, pointless as this may well be.  But we’ll save pointless for Portland ...Pointless in Portland.  But I digress.
