Dear Editor, Debt

Dear Editor,

The prevailing predominant religion has advised its faithful to: get out of debt and stay out of debt.  Why shouldn’t that apply to city government?

Zoning a Dangerous Power

Imagine you’re sitting on your front porch rocker reading the newspaper on a quiet Saturday evening enjoying the beautiful sunset, when the excavators pull onto the adjacent field. Construction begins bright and early Monday morning. A little concerned, you wander over to find out what’s happening. To your amazement you find out that an 8 level office building is under construction. You will lose your view of the sunset and will probably have shade across your entire yard beginning about 2:00 every afternoon.

Dear Editor, Prayer

Dear Editor,

Prayer is a part of the city I live in, a very small city. The municipal council members and the mayor open each civic meeting with a prayer. The County Commission does this as well. The local church leaders—LDS, Catholic, Bible Study, Episcopalian, Lutheran and others take turns offering this invocation each week.

Dear Editor,

Dear Editor, Emergency Rooms

Emergency Rooms at hospitals across the country are already seeing a significant increase in the numbers of patients since January. Obamacare wasn't supposed to have that effect.

Dear Editor,

Many doctors are refusing to play along and are going to be quitting the profession rather than be controlled by socialized medicine, which is the Affordable Care Act. So people are having a hard time finding Primary Care Physicians.

Dear Editor, Freedom

Editor,

Independence Day

               Every July, as a nation, we celebrate our hard-won independence from the tyranny of England. But what does that mean? In 1776, the thirteen original colonies banded together as a union, and formally declared their independence. That was not the end of conflict, though. The Revolutionary War was only beginning, and lasted for seven more years. This is the idea that I want to expound on here;

Dear Editor, FairTax and IRS Scandal

Americans, are you slaves? Do you realize you consent to politicians using the IRS as their weapon to silence you, control your spending, while legally taking your wealth?

Why isn't there a sea-to-shining-sea battle-cry against tyranny of politicians able to silence millions of Americans with the power of IRS, punishing opposition while skirting the law thus remaining unaccountable?

Help - 3 boys need help now they've been Accepted to La Roca

Dear Editor,

I write to you today with a unique plea, but one that is dear to my heart. A human interest story that is happening right there in your neck of the woods! I’ll try to keep the gist short and sweet, as I tend toward the verbose; you certainly don’t have time for that!

I met my sister, Myranda, just 5 years ago, having living almost 40 years not knowing my biological family. Upon meeting her and her husband, Michael, I discovered many things about them both that touched me to the core, not the least of which is that family is most important.

Dear Editor,

It is tragic, disheartening and ominous that men and women must endure the embarrassment and social debasement of a pride day for Ersatz in order to keep many of them from killing themselves out of shame and guilt.  Ersatz would be much better off to confess undisciplined same-sex attraction as the cause of their shame, guilt and ersatzness at regular H.A. (homoelectives anonymous) meetings.
