April 14, 2017 The Vice-Presidential Budget? What? How Much?

Why does the Vice-President have an expense budget for breaking ties in the Senate? According to the current budget (2016-17), the VP has an expense budget of $18,760. Someone will have to explain this to me. The only responsibility which the VP has is in breaking ties when the vote is 50-50. That rarely happens, although it has already happened twice since the current administration took charge of the government.

Celebrating Earth Day

Dear Editor:

As thousands across the U.S. get ready to protest environmental budget
cuts, each of us can also help with our driving, our recycling, and our
diet.

Yes, our diet. A 2010 United Nations report blames animal agriculture
for 70% of global freshwater use, 38% of land use, and 19% of greenhouse
gas emissions.

Dear Editor:                                       A 17th Letter to America

Two separate events show’s how unbelieving of God’s Word, Mankind has become.  Both used the-time-figure 165 million years.

The first showed NASA’s gold plated satellite dish that supposedly will go into space and be able to go back some 165 million years into the evolution of the universe.  At least, that’s “Man’s” foolish goal!

“Congress is NOT the Place!”

While there are those who vote for a “Party Line,” the vast majority of Americans expect that all elected officials, after the voting is done, will do the right thing for this country and all people. Honesty, truthfulness, transparency, and integrity are the hallmarks of excellent leaders. That's what we elect, people to lead us, not politicians who will seek to install one particular ideology.

Letter to the Editor / Year-Round April Fools' Day

Year-Round April Fools’ Day

Dear Editor,

This coming April Fools’ Day can remind us that the meat, egg, and dairy
industries have been playing us for fools year-round. Their more
remarkable hoaxes include “California's happy cows,” “free-range
chickens,” and “humane slaughter.” All cruel lies.
