Donald Trump has reached this level in his campaign for the presidency. He is unable to admit how close he is to losing. Consequently, he is pushing his envelope by lying to himself and his followers in the hope his lies will convince his choir of followers of the miracle he wants to produce. But then what?

Meat Industry Is Scary

Dear Editor:

I have no fear of all the goblins, the witches, or even the evil clowns
lurking on Halloween. What really scares me are the latest reports about
the meat industry.

Like news of pig farms dumping millions of gallons of pig feces into
North Carolina's water supplies during Hurricane Matthew. Or of
saturating their neighborhoods with windborne fecal waste spray. Or of
animal farming accounting for more greenhouse gases than transportation.

Well the last Presidential debate is over. But apparently “destroy Trump” is still the Lefties and some disgruntled republicans goal. So the twisting of his words and trashing him is still on and will probably last pass election day.

Hillary immediately said it was “horrific” that Trump would not agree to say he would concede if he lost.  The “horrific” word was immediately used by the ungodly news media against him.

Is there Life before Death?

Dear Editor,

It seems like there is always some special observance around the corner.
There is even a World Day for Farmed Animals. It's observed fittingly on
October 2nd (Gandhi's birthday). It's intended to memorialize the tens
of billions of animals abused and killed for food around the world.

My first instinct was to dismiss it. But, I wanted to understand the
impact of my diet and my food dollars on others.

Good citizens want to do the "right thing" with the presidential election coming up in 2 months. But determining what that is is baffling to some.

 
The "right thing" is not to help Hillary get elected. But that is exactly what 3rd party candidates McMullin and Johnson and their well-intentioned supporters will do.

The incident in which a tethered dog in Salina was euthanized after he was reportedly beaten so severely that his shoulder was fractured is a reminder of the risks that unattended tethering poses to dogs.

With the new school year starting, parents’ to-do lists are now filled
with shopping for school clothes, school supplies, and school food.
That’s right - school food!

In past years, our nation's schools were used by the USDA as a dumping
ground for surplus meat and dairy commodities. It is neither a surprise
nor coincidence that one-third of our children have become overweight or
obese. Such dietary mistakes at an early age become lifelong addictions,
raising their risk of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.

We Love ‘em to Death

Dear Editor,

Today's ten highest grossing box office releases are about animals,
including: "Finding Dory," "The Jungle Book," "Zootopia," "The Secret
Life of Pets," and "Kung Fu Panda." Nearly half of our households
include a dog and nearly 40 percent have a cat. Two thirds of us view
them as family members and cherish them accordingly. We love our animals
to death.
